Final Drawings

Final Drawings

  1. I would love to see some program via colour here as well. Also because the buildings are so grand, you need to include a sky, lots of people as tho its in peak hour, & the type of trees & greenery you would expect to surround & complete the architecture... well done on all the drawings ! well done!

  2. What I see in your drawings, Abraham, is a very admirable attempt to accommodate the functions of a fairly complex program in a rational and clear manner within the equally clear and yet "unconventional" forms of your design. I think that to a large extend you have achieved this in a graceful manner - well done!

If your design was to be taken at the next level then I would expect to see a bit more about what happens around, between and even inside your 3 volumes. In other words, more information on how your buildings relate to their immediate surroundings and to each other? Or how some of your public, interior spaces could develop? All these would define further how your building is experienced and the overall clarity of your design provides excellent opportunities for the enhancement of this experience.

One thing about design projects while in architecture school is that there is always "more" to design in a very short amount of time. This can be overwhelming for a student who struggles to put a presentation together only hours before this is due (and presentation deadlines are just as important as their content). My suggestion would be to treat all this as an opportunity to learn how to organize, prioritize tasks and set clear goals. Believe it or not, design studios are meant to teach us a lot more than just designing.

    Again, well done!

  3. Abraham,
you have come a long way with your design. And I appreciate your approach. The 3d form is beautiful, and really does make a statement. I would like you to refine your plans. I am teaching a summer course, and I will be at school everyday from 8-2. Please stop by , sit in class so we can work on finishing this wonderful project and making it a portfolio piece.
Landscaping, is also another part of your project that needs a lot of work.
